I fear many women are famished for the Word of God. It's no wonder why. Many of us have been feeding on the crumbs which devotionals give rather than feasting on the Bread of life. We've been told as women that we can live off of those crumbs, and that the feast of deep truths and theology is better left for the men. But theology and an immense knowledge of the Bible is for every disciple of Christ.

Treasure Seeker: A New Bible Study Resource for Women

Here’s the thing…

I fear many women are famished for the Word of God. It’s no wonder why. Many of us have been feeding on the crumbs which devotionals give rather than feasting on the Bread of life. We’ve been told as women that we can live off of those crumbs, and that the feast of deep truths and theology is better left for the men. But theology and an immense knowledge of the Bible is for every disciple of Christ.

Malnourished women of the quick-fix devo must become true women of the Word. We must move from milk to solid food. I’m excited to announce that I’ve created a workbook for the women whose hearts declare, “Give us the meat!”

For everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. (Hebrews 5:13-14 ESV)

Calling All Treasure Seekers

Over the years, as I’ve shared tips from my own study of God’s Word, I’ve seen a desire growing in women to know how to study the Bible well. The article in which I shared how I study the Bible remains my most popular post. This excites me for so many reasons! Women are seeking the True Treasure, that is Christ in the Word.

Furthermore, over the last year, God has used trials and loss to draw me near to himself and through my pain, make Christ my greatest Treasure. My hope is that through this workbook, he would do the same for each woman whose eyes fall upon it. I pray he’ll also use it as a tool to equip women in their study of his Word so that they can have a deeper love and knowledge of scripture.

Yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice for understanding,
if you seek it like silver
and search for it as for hidden treasures,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:3-6 ESV)

How the Study Works

I created this guided study for women who are seeking a deeper knowledge of Jesus through scripture. It can be used by both the Bible study newbie as well as the theology loving gal.

This Bible study is unique in that you can choose any epistle from the New Testament and use this workbook to work through it. There are three parts to this workbook. It will guide you in finding the context, making observations, seeking interpretation of the text, and applying what you’ve learned to your life.

And, it’s printable! So you can print it right from your own computer.

Ways to Use the Workbook

>> Print out and place in a three-ring binder for your own study.
>> Use to go through an epistle with a friend, mentor, or someone you’re mentoring.
>> Use as a guide while taking notes in your own journal.
>> Use to go through an epistle with a group of women at your church.

Find even more information regarding the study on my Instagram account, @brittleeallen, in the story highlights titled “Treasure Seeker.”

I pray that through your study you would be more deeply rooted in the Word of God and that your heart treasure Christ more.

You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, take care that you are not carried away with the error of lawless people and lose your own stability. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (2 Peter 3:17-18 ESV)
